OUR INSOMNIA THERAPIES
Western Medicine has essentially one cure for insomnia: Sleeping pills. At Blue Phoenix we believe in natural remedies. Our first split with standard medicine is that we see insomnia as a symptom, rather than as an actual illness. Yes, you’re not sleeping, and that’s our primary focus. But experience tells us that insomnia has other underlying factors that, to affect a cure, also must be addressed: They include:
Pain,
Anxiety,
Digestive issues,
Depression,
Drug interaction,
Stress,
Self-Realization Issues.

As you can see, these are all issues for which standard medicine has only one real “solution”: pills. And they only suppress the issue. We have been successful treating all these issues naturally. How?

Our first job is to address the insomnia. But insomnia is not a ‘one size fits all’ diagnosis. Each person experiences it in his or her own, dispiriting manner. We identify thirty “types” of insomnia, with a different treatment strategy for each one of them.
Second, in conjunction with the first strategy, we address your secondary issue as listed above. We do this using, where appropriate, acupuncture and Chinese herbs, Hypnotherapy and Hormonal Rebalancing.
Here is a brief synopsis on each modality.

Acupuncture
Insomnia is a dysfunction of the mind and body, and acupuncture essentially jumpstarts the body’s core functions leading it back to a state of homeostasis, or ‘balance’. In treating insomnia with acupuncture and Chinese herbs we analyze the body’s mysteries. Soon, seemingly unrelated symptoms lead us to a treatment strategy.

Hypnotherapy And Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
We utilize hypnosis to talk with the unconscious mind and discover what it “wants”. Your subconscious always wants what’s best for you. By not letting you sleep it may be telling you’re doing something that’s not in your best interest. Once you make that change, sleep can return. NLP is a safe way to reprogram the computer that is your mind to a program of your choosing. Rather than the neurotransmitters in your brain shooting toward negative thoughts, you can choose what pattern you’d rather have them address.

Hormonal Rebalancing.
Our body and mind is both sturdy and sensitive. At times, environmental toxins can wreak havoc on the body, and on the mind. At other times, our stress factors can be such that it burns out our adrenal gland (our adrenals being where adrenaline, our energy surges out of). When that happens, we may experience that ‘tired and wired’ sensation where we are exhausted but can’t sleep. Or we may get a night’s sleep but still feel exhausted the next morning. I call the “I feel like I’ve been running all night” syndrome. We use a combination of Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing) plus homeopathic principles and supplement therapy to repair and thereby balance the hormones if they are in fact out of balance.
